Dr. Allen Coats Meadors is an American higher education educator and administrator who has worked in higher education in the United Arab Emirates and Northern Italy. He has served as president/chancellor of three US state universities. Penn State Altoona (Feb.1994-June 1999); University of North Carolina-Pembroke (July 1999-June 2009); and University of Central Arkansas (July 2009-September 2011). One of the few higher education professionals to be CEO of NCAA Division I, II and III institutions. Prior positions he has held includes: Dean of Health,Social and Public Services, Eastern Washington University; Dean of Public Health, University of Oklahoma; Chair of Department of Health Administration, University of Oklahoma; Executive Director of the Northwest Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute. Dr. Meadors has over 50 publications and have spoken both nationally and internationally. He has served on various national advisory boards such as The Center for Health Care Inonovation, The Journal of Rural Health, Enrollment Management National Advisory Board, and numerous others. He has help raised well over 100 million dollars in external funds for the institutions he has been part of. He has served as master and dissertation chairs for hundred of students.
Paul Barach, MD, MPH, is a double-boarded anesthesiologist and critical care physician-scientist, public health researcher and educator. Dr. Barach trained at the Massachusetts General Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School. He is an elected member of the lead honorary society the Association of University Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Barach is deeply committed to translating research into strategies for systems strengthening, patient safety, health protection and disease prevention. He has more than 25 years of experience as a practicing physician and physician executive in the military and in academic medical centers and integrated delivery systems. He is a formally trained health services researcher, with advanced post graduate training in advanced medical education and assessment methods from the Harvard Medical School Josiah Macy Program medical education, lean six sigma, quality improvement and lean techniques at Intermountain Healthcare. He has had additional training in epidemiology and statistics including both methodological as well as applied HTA research. Prior to that he spent five years in the military and was involved in team training, leadership and simulation work.
Professor Akgun is a Professor of Public Health in Baskent University School of Medicine and University of North Carolina-Pembroke, USA with more than 35 years of strong experience in data management, statistical analyses, quality and accreditation in health care, patient safety and epidemiological studies including the assessment of burden of diseases and health and nutritional status indices. She is also a quality expert and serving Baskent University as their Chief Quality Officer for the 10 hospitals, 16 hemodialysis centers that belong to the University since 1997.
Dr. Mohammed Garout, is an Associate Professor of Public Health at faculty of Medicine, Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He is a certified IPC surveyor with the Saudi National Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) since 2008 after which he was appointed as the Team Leader of the IPC Specialty in 2015. Moreover, since 2014, he has been affiliating with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) as a certified assessor. During MERS-CoV epidemic in SA in 2014, he worked with other national and international IPC experts to successfully end the MERS Co-V outbreak. In addition, since COVID-19 pandemic started, he had joined the “National Saudi Committee of the Infectious Diseases and Infection Control” as a member to work on monitoring COVID-19 activities to develop and review the required updated recommendations/regulations to fight the pandemic.
